What happens?
The compilation of the HMI project is stopped by the following error message:
ERROR – Unable to compile macros
When does the problem occur?
Depending on the name the programmer has assigned to an object of the project components macro, alarm message or information message, the compiling process may be stopped by the above-mentioned error message.
Possible diagnostics?
None
Short-term measures / recommendations?
Assign another name to the faulty object of the project component. This function restriction has been eliminated in the HMI Designer version 1.6.
Evaluation:
This function restriction only rarely occurs and is detected during the compiling process, i.e. before downloading the project to the keypad. The function restriction can be avoided by assigning other names to project components which have already been defined.
