Quick stop (QSP ramp C0105) with electronic cam profiler technology

Question:
What must be observed when selecting the quick stop ramp (QSP ramp C0105) in connection with electronic cam profiler technology?

Answer:
If the cam operation is terminated by quick stop (QSP) the drive will decelerate from the current speed to standstill. If the selected quick stop ramp is longer than the deceleration ramp resulting from the cam profile, the limit positions may be overtravelled in the case of axes with a limited traversing range. To avoid this status, the shortest deceleration ramp resulting at maximum master speed from the cam profiles should be determined. The QSP ramp time in C0105 should correspond to this value or be even selected lower to make sure that the profile traversing range cannot be overtravelled.
