Answer:

After its installation, Windows 2000 does not support, as before, the settings for the parallel port (LPT) as default. Under the hardware manager, set the address 378H and the interrupt 7 for the parallel port so that the operation via parallel port and system bus adapter e.g. for GDC is possible.
