Fixed as of:
PLC Designer 4.2
Behavior in the new version:
The user interfaces for reading and setting the FAST Motion parameters are always displayed correctly and are functional. None of the listed symptoms occur.
Description of the behavior:
After downloading a project to a controller and then accessing it online from PLC Designer, inconsistent motion axis data may occur.
Typical symptoms include:
- Log entries with messages regarding “Axis in Simple Mode.”
- Missing or undisplayed kinematic parameter pages in PLC Designer.
- After restarting the controller, startup errors appear on the affected axes.
- After power is restored or the system is restarted, motion parameters are reset to their default values.
Analysis shows that the PLC parameter file is sometimes generated without the required FAST motion parameters. As a result, the corresponding motion axis information is not fully transferred to the controller.
Conditions under which the behavior occurs:
A new or modified application is transferred to the controller. A boot project is then generated, and the controller is restarted.
Affected products:
PLC Designer version 4.0 and later
Short-term measures, recommendations, assessment:
Clean up the project using " Clean All."Compile the project again.Download the project to the controller again.Regenerate the boot project. After the download, check the motion axis parameters for completeness. [Automatic Translation]
