Under what conditions does the behavior occur? The behavior described above can occur in rare cases if a trace object is decoupled from the PLC Designer interface and is operated in a separate window via the context menu.

Short-term measures, Recommendations, Rating: First save the changes in your project with the key combination <CTRL>+<S>. Exit PLC Designer via the Windows Task Manager and restart PLC Designer.
