Overview of licensed EASY Starter functions

Which EASY tool licence activates which EASY Starter functions?
 
Answer:

The licence for a higher level always activates the functions of a lower level:
  • EASY Advanced includes EASY Essentials
  • EASY Professional includes EASY Advanced and EASY Essentials
From EASY Starter V1.28, all functions are available with the EASY Essentials licence, that means free of charge.

In EASY Starter V1.27 and older, the following assignment applies:
EASY Essential
  • Application specific tools:
    • EASY Starter
    • EASY Starter/Online only
    • EASY Starter/Online & Read only
    • EASY Application Loader
    • EASY Firmware Loader
  • Uploading device parameters (backup)
  • Downloading device parameters (restore)
  • Updating the firmware
  • Updating the application
  • Fast diagnosis (incl. trend recording)

EASY Advanced (the marketing of EASY Advanced licences has been discontinued)

  • Edit projects and applications offline
  • Compare and document created applications
  • Simultaneous development with many inverters and controllers
  • Use innovative Near Field Communication (NFC) for parameterization
  • Program-controlled updating of the application and firmware (batch mode)
  • Simultaneous diagnostics with many inverters and controllers
  • Use oscilloscope to diagnose and optimize fast processes (device-dependent)

EASY Professional *

  • Support your own motors
  • Parameterize safety functions
*Engineer HighLevel or PLC Designer 3 licences are compatible with the EASY Professional licence and activate these functions.
