Behavior of the new version:
In the situation described below, the controller can install the firmware from the SD card from the 'Firmware' directory.
Instructions on how to install the firmware on the SD card if it is not available:
Then the SD card of the controller must be inserted into a card reader of the PC and then the firmware must be installed with the EASY Firmware Loader from V1.29.
In the EASY Firmware Loader, select the communication path: Removable medium or PC file system. From version 1.29, the EASY Firmware Loader recognizes that the firmware is to be loaded onto an SD card instead of a USB stick and adjusts the directory accordingly. The firmware file is saved to the SD card as follows
<SD card>/firmware/cxx_v_<version>_firmware.tar
Description of the behavior:
Controller does not start - RDY LED flashes - a connection to the controller via Ethernet with e.g. EASY Starter or EASY Firmware Loader is not possible.
Conditions under which the behavior occurs:
The behavior can occur if the controller is supplied with voltage more than 10 times for only a few seconds and then switched off again.
Further possibilities of how this state can be achieved cannot be named.
