Cyber Security: USB stick is not mounted automatically

Function-extension:

An inserted USB stick is not integrated (=mounted) into the file system of the controller by default, so that no malicious code can be executed on the controller via this path.

For brand-new controllers, the mounting of a USB stick is active once to enable initial commissioning.

After this, the mounting of the USB stick can be set via the parameter 0x5902:001. If the parameter is set to 'Activated [1]', an already inserted USB stick is mounted immediately and a newly inserted USB stick is mounted directly.

The device commands Backup (parameter 0x2022:040), Restore (parameter 0x2022:043) and Start Up/Downgrade (parameter 0x2022:047) automatically cause an inserted USB stick to be mounted, regardless of the setting in the parameter 0x5902:001.

Included in the following products:

Controller c430 from V1.13
Controller c520 from V1.13
Controller c550 from V1.13

application:

To protect against malicious code, the mounting of the USB stick in the file system of the controller (=mounting) is restricted.
