Oscilloscope function: Objects 0x6041 and 0x2C41:6 are not recorded correctly (fixed as of V1.9.3)

Removed from:
Servo-Inverter i700 from V01.09.03

Behavior of the new version:
  • To 1.: The recording of the 'CiA402 status word' (0x6041) with the oscilloscope function now always works perfectly.
The cause was a faulty initialization in connection with the oscilloscope function.

  • For 2nd : The 'Hiperface actual position raw data' object (0x2C41:6) is no longer available for selection for recording using the oscilloscope function.
The signal is not suitable for recording via oscilloscope due to the very slow and limited access options.
Recording via the trend function in Easy-Starter is still possible.

Description of behavior:
When recording with the oscilloscope function the following behavior may occur:

  1. 'CiA402 status word' (0x6041):  Sporadically the value 0 is always recorded.
  2. 'Hiperface actual position raw data' (0x2C41:6):  Only the value 0 is recorded at any one time.
Under what conditions does the behavior occur?
  • For 1.: Occurs sporadically, although the exact cause is currently not known.
  • About 2.: The signal is updated via SDO communication and thus only if a read access is currently being executed.

Affected products:
Servo-Inverter i700

Short-term measures:
  • To 1.: Record status word 0x6041 on two oscilloscope channels in parallel. The second channel then contains the correct data.
  • To 2.: Record the object 0x2C41:6 with the "Trend"function in the Easy-Starter. The object is read out by communication via the slower parameter channel (SDO) and not cyclically via PDO.
Rating/Recommendations:
Zu 2.: The signal can only be updated via SDO communication, which is significantly slower than cyclic process data communication (PDO).
The low refresh rate of the signal will not meet the expectations of an oscilloscope recording, which is why the object 0x2041:6 will no longer be selectable for recordings using the oscilloscope function in future.
Recordings via the trend function in Easy-Starter will then still be possible.
