Question:
What is the meaning of the message "The connected PLC uses certificates which are about to expire"?
Answer:From PLC Designer V3.24 there is a new option for Security implemented (Security Screen).
This is required for Security topics (e.g. secure communication).
Therefore, the Controller may contain certificates.
In case you see this message you can go to Security Screen:
Then click at “Refresh”, go to
“Own Certificates” and check the existing certificates (Of course, when PLC
Designer is logged in to the Controller)
If there is a certificate seen where "valid until" is before the current date of the Contrioller then you can decide either to delete this certificate and/or create a new one or to adjust the date and time of the Controller.
