Fixed as of:
i950 Extended Safety (ES): as of V01.03.05.00
oder Grundgeräte-Firmware : ab V01.07.04.2313
Behavior of the new version:
Uploading the device application works without errors with the new safety software version V01.03.05.00. The programming error has been corrected. All safety addresses can now be used.
In the basic device firmware V01.07.04.2313, a workaround was additionally built in so that the upload also works in the field with older safety software versions.
Description of behavior: Uploading the device application as *.lda file from an i950ES with the EASY Starter tool may fail. The upload is aborted with the message "I2022Comand 42 failed: Error 3".
Under which conditions does this behavior occur? Due to a programming error, depending on which value is used in parameter 0xF980:2 (safety address), the device command "Upload device application" is aborted.
I.e. with the safety address actual used in the i950ES an upload of the device application is not possible.
Uploading may be possible with a different safety address. So far, the error has been observed with safety address 12 and 20. However, it can be assumed that other safety addresses are affected.
Affected products:
i950 Extended Safety (ES) all safety software versions < V01.03.05.00 with any basic device firmware version < V1.07.04.2313
Short-term measures / evaluation/recommendations:
If it is possible, use another Safety address in the project.
If this is not possible, save safety parameters separately as *.bin file and upload device application (*.lda file) with safety parameters in factory settings.
