Communication interruption with Profinet

  • Inverter drives 8400 TopLine V21.02.00

Behaviour of the new version:
As of V21.02, more computing time is available in the inverter firmware.



Description of behaviour:
If the basic unit is heavily loaded by the application, communication with Profinet is occasionally interrupted.
The following general conditions lead to the above-mentioned problem:

  • Axis bus with synchronisation is used
  • Profinet is used.
  • Highly utilised application (>71 modules)

What are the effects?
Termination of Profinet communication.
An indication is also a drop in the system runtime reserve C00312/01 to approx. 12µs at times.
 
Affected products:
8400 Topline with firmware V21.01.00 or smaller
