I/O compound modules do not behave as parameterised (corrected from V3.12)

Corrected from:
3200 C controller V3.12
c300 controller V3.12

Response of the new version:
The I/O compound modules connected to the backplane bus of the 3200 C and the c300 controller behave as parameterised.

What happens?
I/O compound modules do not behave as parameterised. An analog output module outputs e.g. an incorrect voltage or current value via the last channel.

When does this behaviour occur?
The above-described behaviour may occur sporadically after switching on the controller if
  • I/O compound module are operated at the backplane bus of the Lenze 3200 C or c300 controller,
  • the I/O compound modules can be parameterised and the set parameters differ from the default setting.
Which products are affected?
3200 C controller V3.0 and higher
c300 controller V3.8 and higher
I/O 1000 compound modules : EPM-S207, EPM-S4xx, EPM-S5xx, EPM-S6xx

Short-term measures/recommendations:
Only use the default setting when operating I/O compound modules at the backplane bus of a Lenze controller.

Evaluation:
After switching on the Lenze 3200 C or c300 controller, I/O compound modules operated at the backplane bus do not behave as parameterised.
The function restriction does not occur if the I/O compound modules are connected to a fieldbus coupler such as
  • EPM-S110 (CanOpen bus coupler)
  • EPM-S130 (EtherCAT bus coupler)

Digital EPM-S2xx (except for EPM-S207) and EPM-S3xx I/O compound modules are not affected by the function restriction.
