With 'Reload boot project' (WebConfig), the persistent variables are reset

What happens?
The persistent variables lose their value.
 
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs if code C18 is used to execute the command "515: PLC reload boot project" via the WebConfig.
 
Which products are affected?
c300 controller from V3.8
3200C controller from V3.0
p300 panel controller from V3.8
p500 panel controller from V3.3
 
Short-term measures:
Switch the controller off and on to reload the boot project and to restore the values of the persistent variables.
 
Evaluation/recommendations:
Persistent variables retain their value even after switching the mains or downloading projects. Due to the above function restriction, the persistent variables may lose their value via the WebConfig. This behaviour is caused by a command used to reload the boot project. In practical operation, the boot project is not loaded by executing the above command but by switching off and on the controller.
