Functional description
To provide position comparison values for the threshold value or switching positions, these values must be specified in the unit of the application.
For the internal calculation system to sensibly process these positions, these values must be converted into increments. The function block serves to select the comparison values in units in the 'LS_ParFreeUnit_x' system block.
For internal further processing purposes, this block provides the position in units after they have been converted under consideration of the machine parameters.
Applications
For positioning applications where the actual position is e.g. compared to fixed values to be able to take further actions.
Simplification when selecting comparison values in application position units e.g. for applications with position switch points.
