What happens?
A fast input of the EPM-S207 I/O compound module provides a time stamp entry (latch of the internal µs ticker) which is converted into a position in the L_SMC_TouchProbe_FASTIO function block.
The L_SMC_TouchProbe_FASTIO function block does not detect an edge althogh the I/O module has identified one. The output 'xDone' of the function block is not set. The IO1000 module does not indicate an error.
When does the problem occur?
Depending on the frequency with which the pulses of the I/O compound module are detected the response described before can occur

Possible diagnostics?
The edge at the I/O module can be detected via the process input image of the I/O module.

None.
Evaluation:
The L_SMC_TouchProbe_FASTIO function block cannot be used in order to detect the position reliably.
