Applications
Fieldbus modules generally serve to integrate the 8400 in a fieldbus network.
Apart from the actual PROFINET communication, the PROFINET module has an additional internal TCP/IP channel. That way the 8400 can be diagnosed with the Engineer via a standard Ethernet network. The only drawback is that the FB monitoring is not working yet.
