Functional description In order to change over the operating modes of the SM301, an operation mode selector with two NO contacts is necessary (contacts closed -> special operation). Now, an operation mode selector or a sensor with two NC contacts can also be used for changing over the operating mode.
Applications Due to the fact that the number of safe inputs is not sufficient for many applications, it is now possible to use a sensor (e.g. door contact with two CN contacts) for changing over the operating mode. This means that one input less can be used. With the input that has thus become free, an additional safety function can be implemented if necessary. Engineer V2.10 is necessary in order to make use of the extended function.
