Function restriction in the CAN

Which products are concerned?
All devices with WinCE Core < = version 1.1.0.0 and WinCE Professional Plus <= version 1.1.0.0 (can be read out in the applet 'LDC Windows CE Version' of the control panel) are concerned.

What is the response?
In the VarIns and VarOuts of the VisiWinNET application, zeros are displayed or the values are no longer updated. The error message 'Time-out on receipt of a CAN message for ...' is written to the log file of the VisiWinNET application.
In the case of an error, the CAN communication can only be built up by restarting the device.

When does the problem occur?
The problem may occur after a continuous operating time of approx. 4 days. The time may, however, vary depending on the application.

Possible diagnostics?
When the error has occurred, the display data will no longer be updated or zeros will be displayed.

Short-time measures/recommendations?
The error can be eliminated by an update (available in the AKB download area).

How to execute the update:
1.  Copy the Update_HMI_SP1.exe file to an SD card or USB stick
2.  Switch off the EL100 and insert the SD card or the USB stick into the EL100
3.  Switch on the EL100
4.  After booting up the EL100, exit the VisiWinNET Remote Access Manager
5.  Execute the Update_HMI_SP1.exe file by means of a double-click on the EL100
6.  After the update, restart the device and remove the SD card/USB stick
7.  When the update has been successful, the image version under ControlPanel\WinCE Version will be extended by the entry '_SP1'.

Note:
The update must be exclusively used for the devices listed under the item 'Which products are concerned?' with the described WinCE versions (check image version under ControlPanel\WinCE Version)!
