Using optional bus nodes (from V1.05)

Applications
Optional bus nodes are nodes which are not permanently operated on the EPL network and which are temporarily physically not available. This may be useful if drive axes are not required for the application over a longer period of time.

Function description
As of this version, optional bus nodes can be operated on the EPL network as long as the Ethernet plug is not disconnected during bus operation. Due to the physical properties of the network cable socket, bus faults can still be the result if the instruction mentioned before is not observed and the Ethernet plug is withdrawn during bus operation. As long as the optional bus nodes are separated from the network by switching off their voltage supply, bus faults do not occur.
