Digital output terminals are not supplied externally with 24V (terminal X2)

Which products are affected?
E94ASHExxx4 (9400 Servo Drives HighLine, Single Drive)
E94AMHExxx4 (9400 Servo Drives HighLine, Multi Drive)

What happens?
The digital outputs (terminal X4) are not connected to the external 24 V supply of the control card. As a result the outputs are not active, even when the device is supplied with 24 V at terminal X2.

When does the problem occur?
Evaluation of status signals at terminal X4 with the mains voltage at the device switched off

Possible diagnostics?
The status of the output signals at terminal block X4 should be compared to the internal terminal status (C444/1…4), taking into account the terminal polarity (C118/1…4).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
If the signal levels of the digital outputs are to remain stored during mains switching then, in addition to the external 24 V supply of the control card, it must also be possible to feed in a 24V supply at the terminals 24O/GO (terminal X4) for the supply of the digital outputs.

Evaluation
During installation/wiring of the device the additional connection of terminal X4 should be taken into account as well as the wiring of terminal X2 (external 24 V supply).
