Error texts indicated for error numbers 63 and 64

Which products are affected?
ESP-SPAC-CAM1 – Software Package Cam V1.4 (cam template)

What happens?
When displaying the error texts in the DDS visualisation mode the messages indicated for error numbers 63 and 64 include spelling mistakes.
  • Error text for error message 63: CE1_CAN2_ComunicationError
  • Error text for error message 64: CE1_CAN3_ComunicationError

Without spelling mistakes the error texts should have been indicated as follows:
  • Error text for error message 63: CE2_CAN2_CommunicationError
  • Error text for error message 64: CE3_CAN3_CommunicationError

When does the problem occur?
The error texts 63 and 64 are indicated in the DDS visualisation mode if a communication error has occurred in the CAN2 or CAN3 channel.

Possible diagnostics?
A faulty error text is indicated in the visualisation mode if a timeout error has occurred on the CAN2 or CAN3 channel (error number 63 or 64).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
By changing the ENUM list ErrorCode the spelling mistakes can be corrected by the user. Regarding this, please proceed as follows:
1. Open the template by selecting file -> New, with pattern.
2. Change to the Data types register and select the ErrorCode data type which is located in the UserDataTypes folder.
3. By double-clicking on the ENUM list ErrorCode the corresponding ENUM list is opened.
4. Scroll to the CAN errors in this list (marked by the comment (* -CAN- *)).
5. Here, the error texts of the entries 63 and 64 are to be changed.
   Old error texts:  CE1_CAN2_ComunicationError := 63 & CE1_CAN3_ComunicationError := 64,
   New error texts:  CE2_CAN2_CommunicationError := 63 &  CE3_CAN3_CommunicationError := 64
6. Save the modified project.

Evaluation:
The corresponding error texts are called up if a communication error has occurred at the CAN2 or CAN3 channel. The consequences of the spelling mistakes are minor ones since the cause of the error can still be detected due to the error texts. Thus the user still has the opportunity to eliminate the error. By checking the ENUM list ErrorCode the spelling mistake can easily be identified and eliminated.
