TouchKey is not blinking

Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer Version 1.3 and higher)
EPM-H520 (Touch screen)

What happens?
Dependent on the value of a variable (called threshold variables) TouchKeys can change their appearance (e. g. by changing the colour) and behaviour (e. g. by deactivation). In case of the TouchKeys of the H520 keypad the attribute 'Blinking ' (Button <B>) can be set via the threshold variable.

Although the same TouchKey can be found more than once on the same page only one of them is indicated in 'blinking' mode.

When does the problem occur?
If the blinking attribute is set for a TouchKey and if this TouchKey is positioned more than once on the same page the H520 keypad only indicates the TouchKey which is located last on the page in blinking mode.

This function restriction only affects the H520 keypad.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
If a TouchKey is to be indicated more than once in blinking mode on the same page place a duplicate instead of the original TouchKey on the page. In order to create a duplicate open the project component TouchKeys. Select the TouchKey to be duplicated and press the <Duplicate> button.

Evaluation:
If the same TouchKey is used more than once on the same page only one of these TouchKeys is blinking. In practice it is quite rare that the same TouchKey is used more than once on the same page. This function restriction only affects the H520 keypad. Despite this function restriction the TouchKey function is still ensured. The function restriction is detected during commissioning at the latest.
