Blinking text on the TouchKey is indicated twice

Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer Version 1.3 and higher)
EPM-H520 (Touch screen)

What happens?
Dependent on the value of a variable (called threshold variables) TouchKeys can change their appearance (e. g. by changing the colour) and their behaviour (e. g. by deactivation). In case of the TouchKey of the H520 the attribute 'blinking' (button <B>) can be selected.

If the attribute 'blinking' is selected the H520 keypad displays the text, which is indicated on the TouchKey, twice (once statically and once blinking at the top left corner of the TouchKey).

When does the problem occur?
The response described before can be observed if any Windows character set has been selected for labelling the TouchKey (menu item: Configuration>Project languages and fonts) and if the text indicated on the TouchKey has not been aligned 'at the top left'.

This function restriction only refers to the H520 keypad.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
In order to make TouchKeys blink the alignment of the text on the TouchKey is to be set 'at the top left'. Alternatively, an ESA character set can be used for labelling the TouchKey. However, if an ESA character set is applied it is not possible anymore to use any Windows character set in the whole HMI project.

Evaluation:
If the blinking attribute is selected for the TouchKey the H520 keypad displays the text indicated on the TouchKey twice. As a result, the legibility is limited. However, the function of the TouchKey is still given despite this function restriction. The function restriction will be detected during commissioning at the latest.
