Remedied from?
Global Drive Loader V3.0
Function restriction eliminated:
If a parameter set file was created using the Global Drive Control version 4.4 or higher, this parameter set file (gdc file) can also be downloaded if a module was assigned to the AIF interface. Downloading a parameter set file is therefore always possible if the parameter set file matches with the target system and its device description (pdb file).
Which products are affected?
GD Loader up to version 2.2
What happens?
A parameter set file cannot be transferred into a drive or the PLC target system.
When does the problem occur?
If the parameter set file has been created by using the Global Drive Control version 4.4 or higher ones and if a module has been assigned to the AIF interface it is not possible to download this parameter set file with the Global Drive Loader software.
Possible diagnostics?
A parameter set can be loaded into the controller or PLC target system by using the Global Drive Control. If the Global Drive Loader is used this is not possible.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
When using the Global Drive Control as of version 4.4 a module must not be assigned to the AIF interface.
Evaluation:
Basically a parameter set file, which can be downloaded without any problems into the target system, can also be generated by using the Global Drive Control as of version 4.4. When creating a parameter set file it must be considered that the AIF interface is not assigned to a module.
