No identification of the Lenze profibus participant when a drive fails

Which products are affected?
DriveServer in conjunction with bus server S7

What happens?
The identification of all Lenze profibus participants is in the GDC window 'Drives connected to bus' or in the DriveServer not possible anymore.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs when the profibus communication is interrupted (by withdraw of the profibus plug / switch off the internal or external supply voltage) between the S7 control and one or more Lenze drive controllers.

Possible diagnostics?
If the profibus communication to one of the Lenze profibus participants is interrupted as described, the customer will find the corresponding number of participants in the GDC window 'Drives connected to bus', but the identification will be missing.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The behaviour occurs, when the corresponding function block FB90 in the PLC program is continued to be processed, although the profibus participant does physically not exist anymore. By means of a simple jump instruction via the FB90 this problem can be avoided. For this purpose the state word (first process data word) of the drive is to be compared with the value 0. If this condition if fulfilled, the FB90 will be skipped for the not existing profibus participant.

Evaluation:
If a Lenze profibus participant fails, remote maintenance via the communication way Drive Server and busserver S7 will not be possible.
