What happens?
After updating DDS to version 2.2, there is still the old DDS version in the Windows system control in the menu item 'software'. When this old DDS version is uninstalled, DDS version 2.2 is also uninstalled.
When does the problem occur?
When DDS is updated to version 2.2, the user can decide whether the existing version is to be updated or whether the DDS version 2.2 is to be added to the existing DDS version, so that both can be used in the same system.
If the user updates the existing DDS version, the response mentioned above can occur. Since the old DDS version has been updated, it cannot be uninstalled anymore.
Possible diagnostics?
Verify if each DDS version installed has its own directory, e. g. \Programs\Lenze\DDS_P_2_20.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Do not uninstall the old DDS version after a DDS update until you have made sure that the new version was installed in parallel to the old version.
Evaluation:
If the existing DDS version is updated to DDS version 2.2, DDS version 2.2 will also be eliminated when uninstalling the old DDS version. It is not necessary to uninstall the old DDS version.
