Function 'Bit-single threshold' is not executed correctly

Which products are affected?

ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer versions 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6)
EPM-H410 (Graphical display with input keys)
EPM-H502 (Touch screen)
EPM-H505 (Touch screen)
EPM-H510 (Touch screen)
EPM-H520 (Touch screen)

What happens?

By using the 'Bit-single threshold' function the display of a field or touch key can be changed in dependence on a variable bit (threshold variable). As a result, e.g. a colour change of a field can be programmed.
If the threshold variable bit defined in the bit-single threshold becomes active (TRUE) for a field or touch key, the threshold function is executed for all fields and touch keys in which the 'Bit-single threshold' function is defined in combination with this threshold variable.
This means that the change of colour is not only executed for one touch key but for all touch keys using this threshold variable, too.

When does the problem occur?

If the Dword type threshold variable is used in combination with the 'Bit-single threshold' function the 'Bit-single threshold' function is not executed correctly when using the bits 16 to 31 of the threshold variable.

Possible diagnostics?

None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

Use Word type variables as threshold variables only.

This function restriction is eliminated with Service Pack 1 of the HMI Designer version 1.6. The Service Pack can be downloaded free of charge from the download area on the Lenze Internet.

Evaluation:

Due to this function restriction the value of a variable (e.g. as a colour change) is not indicated correctly. The function restriction is detected during the commissioning of the project at the latest.
