Point controls

Term of the numerical control technology: (NC, CNC-technology).
Point controls enable tools to be positioned to programmed points. The single axes of the machine tool are processed either simultaneously or rapidly one after another. When the targeted point is reached, the tool is activated. Point controls are used e. g. for drilling, rivet, punch and spot welding machines.
