Digital signal

A digital Signal has several information parameters, e. g. 8, 16, 32 or 64. Series signals are arranged one after another, parallel ones in parallel. By means of an n-parametric digital signal X = 2 ^ n,  n-digit information units [words] can be presented, e. g. by means of an 8 bits word 2 ^ 8 = 256 different characters.

The advantages of the digital signal are
• the possible high precision [it depends on the number of digits only],
• the problem-free possibility of long-life memory
• and the possibility to connect many sizes according to complicated rules.

This explains the tendency to digital technology in all fields of the automation technology.
