Which malfunctions are known when using the Smart Motor App on an Android smartphone or Android tablet?
Answer: Known malfunctions concerning the use of this App:
Keyboard: If a keyboard other than the 'Standard' keyboard is used, malfunctions may occur when entering values in the App (values cannot be accepted, incorrect interpretation of the 'comma' separator, entry of special characters) Remedy: Set the keyboard to 'Standard' in the corresponding settings.
If Lithuania is selected as the smartphone language you cannot enter any negative values. Remedy: If an operating error occurs, change the language to German or English.
After the Andorid update V4.4.2 KitKat the Smart Motor app crashes when importing a data set from a Smart Motor or when editing a data value. With the Android version V4.4.2 the use of the SD memory card is changed at some Smartphone devices to a read-only memory. The Smart Motor app always writes the parameters to an existing SD card. => This crash is solved in the Smart Motor App V1.2.0. The App only use the internal device memory.
After the update of the Smart Motor app V1.2.0 the stored datafiles are no longer available. With the update to V1.2.0, the storage location has been changed from the SD- card to the phone memory. => The stored data sets are still on the SD card and can be moved with a file explorer from the SD card to the phone memory.
