Can the S7 bus server also communicate with a Siemens-Soft-PLC?
Answer:
Our experience with Siemens-Soft-PLC WIN LC V3.0+SP2 is good. As communication way in the bus server S7 'Simatic MPI' was selected, so that a communication to the Soft-PLC could be generated. The connected Lenze profibus participant was found without any problems and identified by the DriveServer and Global Drive Control (GDC).
A general information, if this is possible for all Soft PLCs of Siemens, cannot be made.
This has to be checked for each single application.
