Question:
How do the areas of the internal variables in the HMI overlap?
Answer:
We distinguish between two internal registers:
a) Internal registers:
- Possible selection: WORD, DWORD, FLOATING POINT, STRING
- Area: 0-1023
Caution:
If address 0 is assigned a double word, address 1 is also assigned. The next variable must therefore be assigned address 2 to avoid unwanted overlapping of data areas. HMI Designer does not recognise data overlapping.
b) Internal registers (Bit):
- Possible selection: BIT
- Area: 0-16367
Caution:
The bit area overlaps with the area of internal registers, i.e.g bit 0-15 corrspond to address 0.
Addressing:
| DWORD | 0 | _ | 1 | _ |
| WORD | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| BIT | 0-15 | 16-31 | 32-63 | 64-... |
