Alarm, information message and help page - Definition
Question:
What is the difference between alarm, information message and help page?
Answer:
Alarm messages (as from HMI 410) have a time stamp and can be called via the alarm button. They must be confirmed by the user. They are transmitted via the exchange areas of the HMI.
Information messages (all HMIs) have no time stamp and can be called via the information button. They do not have to be confirmed. They are also transmitted via the exchange areas.
Help pages can be saved as 'normal' pages, information messages and alarms. If help pages are saved they can be called via the help button.
