Text panels, input of special characters and umlauts

Question:

How can special characters or umlauts are entered in text panels H 310 and H 315 after the direct input via the keypad leads to wrong characters?

Answer:

When a text is entered in the HMI designer the function key F12 is to be pressed. Then a new window opens, where the characters can be selected.
