Register mark or cylinder mark distance, standardisation

Question:

Which value does the standardisation of the following code digits have:
  • C1382/2 (distance of the last two register marks)
  • C1383/2 (distance of the last two cylinder marks)?

Answer:

Both code digits are standardized on one motor revolution (65536 increments). In order to control the distance of the register marks on the material or on the cylinder these values are to be converted into units. The calculation includes as well the gearbox ratio (C1304 und 1305) as the cylinder circumference (C1302), or the shaft format (C1300) accordingly.

Calculation:
  • Distance of the register marks in units = [C1383/2 * C1305 * C1300] / [65536 * C1304]
  • Distance of the cylinder marks in units = [C1383/2 * C1305 * C1302] / [65536 * C1304]

The conversion of the units into the machine-dimensions is effected via code digit C1306 (measuring system).
