Use of Windows fonts

Question:

How can fonts be used in operating units with graphics capabilities (H410, H510, H520)?

Answer:

HMI projects can be multilingual; this means that the display texts can be configured in up to 8 languages. On keypads with graphics capability you can assign an individual font to each defined language (to be able to use language-specific special characters, for instance). This font can be one of the fonts supplied by the HMI or a Windows define font.

Please execute the following steps in order to use a Windows define font:

1. Select Configuration Languages, to open the dialog box Languages.
2. Go to Language and select the language for a font.
3. Click [...], to open the dialog box Select font.
4. Make font type selection on Windows based font.
5. Click Add, to open the dialog box Create Windows-Font and add a font from the Windows font list.
6. Click OK, in order to shut the dialog boxes Create Windows-Font and Select font.
7. Select in the dialog box Languages the new project font and click Add.
Remark:
In an HMI project either the fonts supplied by the HMI Designer are to be used or the Windows fonts.
