How fast can a variable be shown in the DDS display (monitored)?
Answer:
In the PLC a list of variables is registered which has to be displayed. This list is dependent on the opened boxes of the DDS. Boxes which are not activated (which do not have the focus) also have to be taken into account. This list of variables is updated every 200 ms. Updating takes place at the end of the cyclic task. If many boxes are opened in parallel and the number of variables to be monitored is too large, the system cannot update the variables in the time available and the user sees variable states which do not exist in reality.
Remedy:
1. menu bar 'Windows - Close all windows'
2. open only boxes with variable currently required
