Question:
Why, when using the initialisation function 'L_CanInit' on the Free CAN objects, is selection of the 'Movable identification area' only relevant with Servo PLC and not with Drive PLC?
Answer:
With Servo PLC the 'Movable identifier area' has to be permanently placed in one of the four possible, non-pre-assigned areas because the receive identifier area of Servo PLC has memory limitations, which is not the case with Drive PLC.
That is, with Servo PLC, in addition to the identifier areas pre-assigned as previously (e.g. ID 384..831 for process data objects) you can only receive simultaneously identifiers within the defined 'Movable ID area' which is 64 objects in size.
With Drive PLC, on the other hand, identifiers from all four free areas can be received simultaneously (in addition to the ones already assigned previously).
