Restart after short mains disconnection

Question:

Why does a short mains disconnection (8200vector) cause a restart after resumption of power supply?

Answer:

The ramp function generators are not reset in case of short mains disconnection. This operating behaviour can have different causes, which cannot be generalized.

Remedial measures:

The controller inhibit (terminal 28) must be connected to the mains contactor via an auxiliary contact (normally-open contact). With activation of the mains contactor the controller inhibit is activated, and thus, all ramp function generators are reset. This avoids a restart of the drive after resumption of power supply.
