What happens?
From V03.17.00, the L_MC1P library provides the function "Position control with i550".
The use of this function has only been approved for i550 firmware versions starting from V05.02.
Though older i550 firmware versions <= V05.01 can be configured, proper functioning is not guaranteed with these versions. The older versions have not been verified for this function and some functionalities required for operation are not supported (e.g. parameter set downloads from the controller).
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs when using the function "Position control with i550" together with older i550 firmware versions <= V05.01.

Short-term measures:
Use the i550 with current firmware versions from V05.02.
Evaluation/recommendations:
Taking costs and benefits into account, Lenze will not modify the software to lock the selection of older firmware versions.
Since the controller type is selected before commissioning, the suitable controller type can be ordered.
