Response of the new version:
More recent versions of the L_MC4P library from V03.15.00 can be compiled with new compiler versions from V3.5.9.x.
(new compiler versions from V3.5.9.x are included in PLC Designer V3.15 and higher)
What happens?
Existing PLC projects can no longer be compiled correctly after updating the compiler version.
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs when an existing PLC project with axis groups (L_MC4P_RoboticHandling, V03.14.10 or lower) is loaded in the PLC Designer and
only the compiler version is updated to version V3.5.9.x (compiler version contained in PLC Designer V03.15.00 or higher).
Which products are affected?
Library: L_MC4P_RoboticHandling (FAST Motion) and
using PLC Designer V03.15 with new compiler version V3.5.9.x
Short-term measures:
Only use the following compatible combinations of L_MC4P_RoboticHandling and compiler:
- Older versions: L_MC4P <= V03.14.10 --> compiler <= V3.5.8.x (contained in PLC Designer <= V3.14)
- Later versions: L_MC4P from V03.15.00 --> compiler from V3.5.9.x (contained in PLC Designer from V3.15)
When updating the compiler version when opening an existing PLC project also update the L_MC4P library version.
Evaluation/recommendations:
When updating the versions via the PLC Designer, always use the latest versions for all components (all to newest version).
