Keypad indicates ¨Fatal Error: Necessary file ¨keypad.cf¨ not found!¨ (remedied from V7.0)

Eliminated from:
9400 HighLine SW V7.0

Behaviour of the new version?
Even if keypad data has not been transferred to the controller when downloading a project via the L-force Engineer, the keypad can still be used to access all codes (including user codes and codes of FB instances) in the controller. However, the associated parameter and selection texts are not displayed, since these can only be transferred to the controller using the additional file 'keypad.cf'.

Description of the problem
The plugged in keypad displays the text 'Fatal error: Necessary file 'keypad.cf' not found!'.

When does the problem occur?
The behaviour occurs if the keypad texts (file 'keypad.cf') were not transferred to the controller when the project was downloaded but a keypad is still plugged in to the diagnostic interface.

Which products are affected?
9400 HighLine SW ≤ V5.1

Diagnostics options?
The plugged in keypad displays the text 'Fatal error: Necessary file 'keypad.cf' not found!'.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
If you want to be able to access parameter data via the keypad at a later time, the keypad texts (file 'keypad.cf') will also have to be selected for download when you transfer the project to the controller. Select the 'Menu texts' radio button in the Download dialog before you carry out the download.

Evaluation:
It is not possible to access parameters via the keypad if the required file containing the parameter texts ('keypad.cf') is not transferred to the controller during commissioning. In many cases, transfer of the keypad texts is deselected to speed up the download process during initial commissioning.
If you want to be able to change parameters using the keypad during subsequent operation, the final project download carried out during initial commissioning must include transfer of the keypad parameter texts (the 'Menu texts' radio button in the Download dialog must be selected).
