Under the motto "Challenging Markets: fast - flexible - ambitious", Lenze's 2nd Suppliers' Day yesterday focused on innovations in strategy and business policy as well as digital purchasing. The colleagues essentially made an appeal to suppliers to offer high reliability, flexibility and competitive pricing. This is the only way to turn the vision of becoming the pacesetter of the value chain into reality.
The event was held this year as a Microsoft Teams Live Event. The approximately 100 participants from 46 suppliers mainly came from Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, China and Thailand. Thus a large part of our target markets were represented.
Christian Wendler, CEO Lenze, gave an insight into our strategy and looked ahead to the future of Lenze. Dr. Achim Degner, CFO Lenze, focused his presentation on the optimization of the value chain and Lenze's competitiveness in the regional markets. Christian Satzek, Executive Vice President Global Procurement & Supply Chain Lenze, showed the strategic orientation of purchasing and which future, groundbreaking measures are associated with it. His presentation was followed by Bruce Li, Procurement Director at Lenze Drive Systems (Shanghai). He presented Lenze's regional procurement activities in East Asia and China. After a short break, further presentations followed on flexible value-added planning, expectations towards suppliers, value analyses and project management in purchasing. The new digital supplier platform was also presented, which will facilitate the exchange of information among suppliers.
Christian Satzek summarized: "As a designer in Lenze's network with his suppliers, the Procurement department has highlighted its important function to promote the growth of the Lenze Group with the right partnerships. In principle, the future cooperation will be more determined by digital formats, but personal contact is still very important and we hope to be able to hold the next supplier day as a face-to-face meeting again".
