i750 Encoder device variant: EnDat 2.1 and EnDat 2.2 absolute encoders can be used as a feedback system (from V01.05.00)

Function extension:
The i750 device variant Encoder (i75AExxxxxxxxxxxxYYx; Y=3) has now been extended by the functionality to evaluate the following EnDat Absolute encoder types expanded:

  • EnDat 2.1    (initialization via communication + SinCos tracks during operation)
  • EnDat 2.2    (purely digital communication connection)
The EnDat encoders are parameterized via the following parameters, which have been extended by corresponding selections:

  • Motor encoder type 0x2C40         = [4] EnDat 2.1 SinCos-Abs.-Geb. 
  • Motor encoder type 0x2C40         = [7] EnDat 2.2 Abs.-Encoder

Application:
EnDat encoders are robust and high-precision measuring devices that are mostly used in machines with the following requirements are used:

  • high, precise positioning required or
  • use of torque or linear motors
  • For example, machine tools, printing machines, water jet cutting machines.
The function also enables the replacement of devices from the predecessor 9400 device series in the flexo press application.
