HIPERFACE-DSL (OCT): Some non-specification-compliant singleturn encoder types are currently not supported
Removed from:
Servo inverter i750: from V01.03.xx (in planning)
Behavior of the new version:
Description of the behavior: Some singleturn HIPERFACE-DSL encoder types cannot be operated with Lenze inverters because they do not conform to the HIPERFACE-DSL specification from Sick. Sick Lenze internal investigations have shown that not all encoder types from the manufacturer Fa. Sick fully comply with this specification. Some encoder types provide an incorrect encoder_ID and thus also an incorrect overall resolution, so that Boperation on Lenze inverters is not possible.
Conditions under which the behavior occurs:
Not affected are: All motors supplied by Lenze with OCT encoders can also be operated with Lenze inverters.
Only OCT encoder types to which the described restriction does not apply are generally used.
Only OCT encoders with a total resolution of <= 23 bit are possibly affected, which only applies to some singleturn encoders . All known multiturn encoders have an overall resolution that is significantly higher.
The total resolution is as follows:
Singleturn: Total resolution = "Resolution per revolution"
Multiturn: Total resolution = "Resolution per revolution" plus 12 bits (for 4096 multiturn revolutions).
