What happens?
When saving the parameter set of the controller via EASY Starter, the following error message appears:
No access - parameter set was not saved

When does the behaviour occur?
When saving the parameters of the boot application, the parameters of some connected field devices are also saved on the controller in addition to the controller parameters. For this purpose, these parameters are read by the controller via EtherCAT bus from the respective field devices and then saved on the SD card of the controller. If the controller cannot read the parameter sets because, for example, the EtherCAT bus is not in operational status, the above-mentioned error message appears. However, the controller's parameters are saved anyway.
Field devices whose parameters are stored on the controller are: i550, i700, i950 with application CiA402, EPM-S130, EPM-S131.

Which products are affected?
Cabinet Controller c300
Cabinet Controller 3200C
Cabinet Controller c520
Cabinet Controller c550
Panel Controller p300
Panel Controller p500

Short-term measures:
When saving the parameter set in the controller, make sure that all EtherCAT slaves whose parameter set is to be saved in the controller have the EtherCAT status 'Operational'.

Evaluation / recommendations:
After switching on the controller, it automatically loads parameters or parameter sets into the connected EtherCAT slaves. Parameters of an EtherCAT slave can be changed online with the EASY Starter. In order for these changes to be fail-safe, they must be saved on the SD card of the controller. This is done automatically when saving the controller parameter set with the EASY Starter. For this, the EtherCAT slaves must have the EtherCAT status 'Operational'.
