TTL encoder monitoring (wire breakage detection) (from V01.06.04)

Function extension:
TTL encoder monitoring (wire break detection):
With regard to parameterisation and possible error reactions, the monitoring for TTL encoders behaves analogously to the monitoring of resolvers and SinCos encoders.
If the TTL encoder is parameterised as a feedback system (0x2C40 = TTL [3], or 0x2C50 = TTL [3]), TTL wire break detection is automatically active.

When it responds, the parameterised error reaction (response) for the motor or load encoder is triggered:
  • 0x2C45 Feedback system open circuit: Response
  • 0x2C55 Feedback system B open circuit: Response
  • The following hardware errors are detected:
  • Wire breakage of one or more lines in the cable and
  • Short circuits between the differential lines and
  • Short circuits of each line against GND/VCC
  • The following faults may not or not always be reliably detected:
    • Short circuits against "floating" potentials, e.g.: Signal line "A+" against "B+" or against "Temp +/-".

    Contained in which products?
Servo Inverter i950 FW: as of V01.06.04.2154

    Application:
All applications in which TTL encoders are used as motor or load encoders.
