Current controller pre-control 0x2941: When motor data is entered via motor catalogue, the current controller pre-control is activated for synchronous motors (0x2941=1) (from V01.01.03)

Function extension:
The current controller pre-control (0x2941) is now automatically activated (0x2941 = 1) under the following conditions:
  • parameterisation via the Lenze engineering tools (Easy-Starter, PLC Designer)
  • setting the motor data via motor data catalog
  • synchronous motor (SM, PSM)
Background:
The current controller pre-control only works to advantage if the motor parameters are set to match the connected motor.
For this reason the current controller pre-control (0x2941) in the drive controller is still switched off by default (0x2941 = 0).
If the motor parameters are set via the motor data catalogue, it is ensured that the current controller pre-control functions correctly.

Contained in which products?
i950 Servo Inverter  from V01.01.03.xx
in conjunction with the engineering tools:
-  EASY-Starter frpm V01.14.00
-  PLC-Designer from V03.17.00

Application:
Improvement of the dynamic drive behavior of synchronous motors (SM) during transition to the so-called field weakening range and during operation within this range.
During a quick stop (QSP), under unfavorable conditions the current controller may oscillate and the overcurrent monitoring may respond. Activating the current controller pre-control can provide a remedy in such cases.
