Motor temperature detection: With normally-closed temperature contact (TKO) and special characteristic, -666°C is permanently displayed (no correction planned)
Corrected from: i700 servo inverter (no modification of behaviour planned)
Response of the new version:
(no modification of behaviour planned)
What happens?
If a temperature contact (TKO) is used instead of a continous temperature sensor (e.g.: KTY, PT1000), the temperature value -666°C will be displayed permanently and not the value for 0 Ohms calculated in accordance with the entered characteristic.
When does this behaviour occur? If a temperature contact (TKO) is used instead of a continous temperature sensor (e.g.: KTY, PT1000) and
the user-specific characteristic is set with a resistance value < 122 ohms.
Which products are affected? i700 servo inverter
Short-term measures:
None.
Evaluation/recommendations:
The drive controller can be operated despite the temperature value will be displayed. Since the motor temperature monitoring function does not respond - as provided for configurations with temperature contact.
As a matter of principle, simple normally-closed TKO cannot be used to determine the current motor temperature, and thus the temperature cannot be used for display purposes.
